It’s funny how life brings people together when the time is just right.

We studied in the same school back in Mukerian, Punjab — same class, different sections. We shared the same friends, including Maninder Singh and Manjot Singh, but somehow never really crossed paths beyond a smile or two. Who would’ve thought that all those years later, destiny would circle back — and that we’d end up here, writing our story together?

After school, Sartaj moved to the Caribbean Islands to pursue medicine, while Cherry studied in Chandigarh and settled in Minneapolis, Minnesota, building a life far from home. Years passed, and we each walked our own paths — until, through mutual contacts and families, a beautiful arranged marriage setup came into being.

What started as an introduction guided by our families turned out to be something that felt completely natural — like we were always meant to meet this way. From the first meeting, it wasn’t just two people connecting; it was two families finding comfort, laughter, and familiarity.

Now, Sartaj isn’t just Cherry’s partner — he’s truly part of the family. It feels like we’ve all known him for years. Truly, Ruhani's Best friend as well. He has become a cherished member of the Minneapolis community and fits right in, as if this place always had a space waiting for him.

So here we are, ready to celebrate this incredible journey — from DPS classrooms to miles apart, to being perfectly placed together by fate.
